MCC Central needed a modern, high-performing search experience to help users quickly access large amounts of complex, distributed data. I integrated Drupal with a custom React application built in TypeScript using MUI, creating an advanced, dynamic search interface that feels fast, intuitive, and aligned with modern web standards.
To support this architecture, I implemented Drupal JSON:API integrations that allows React to pull structured, real-time data directly from Drupal. This enabled a seamless connection between the editorial workflow and the front-end application while keeping the platform flexible for future enhancements.
Alongside development, I provided UX and UI guidance using Figma — ensuring the search experience was functional and approachable. I also ensured the feature met accessibility standards, layering in keyboard navigation, semantic markup, and screen reader support to make the entire search interface inclusive and fully usable.
